The Privacy Image Blur Tool is a selective censoring utility designed to hide sensitive information in documents or photos. Using browser Canvas filters, the tool allows you to paint a high-intensity Gaussian blur directly over specific areas of your image, or blur the entire file instantly.

This process runs entirely locally within your browser tab. Since no files are uploaded to any server, your personal details, financial figures, faces, or location signs are protected from third-party storage or analysis.

How to Use Privacy Image Blur Tool

  1. Upload your image: Click inside the dashed upload zone or drag and drop your image file (JPG, PNG, or WEBP) into the browser window.
  2. Choose blur mode: In the sidebar, select either Brush Blur to selectively paint over details, or click Total Blur to apply blur across the entire image.
  3. Configure brush and intensity: Drag the Brush Size slider to adjust the diameter of your brush, and drag the Blur Intensity slider to set the level of Gaussian blur (measured in pixels).
  4. Obscure the details: If using Brush Blur, click and drag your cursor directly over sensitive text, faces, or license plates on the canvas.
  5. Reset if needed: If you make a mistake or want to revert all changes, click the Reset All button to reload the original image.
  6. Download your censored image: Click the Download Censored Image button to export and save the finalized secure image to your local storage.
