What is Pro Screenshot Editor

The Pro Screenshot Editor is a client-side annotation utility designed to help you crop, mark up, and sanitize your screen captures. Equipped with arrows, text tools, shape creators, highlighters, and blur brushes, this tool allows you to add context and protect personal data directly in your browser.

Your screenshots are processed locally using your device's memory. Since no files are uploaded to any external server, your proprietary console logs, staging mockups, and private conversations remain completely confidential.

How to Use Pro Screenshot Editor

  1. Load your screenshot: Drag and drop your image file into the upload zone, browse your files, or simply paste an image directly from your clipboard using Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac).
  2. Select an annotation tool: In the vertical toolbar on the left, choose your active tool: Free Pen (✏ī¸), Add Arrow (🏹), Rectangle (âŦœ), Highlighter (đŸ–ī¸), Add Text (T), or Censor/Blur (đŸŒĢī¸).
  3. Choose your style: In the right sidebar, pick a color from the swatches and adjust the brush/border size using the Line Weight slider.
  4. Draw on the canvas: Click and drag on the screenshot to add shapes, point arrows, highlight content, or draw freehand. To add text, click where you want the text to appear and enter your text when prompted.
  5. Sanitize sensitive information: Select the Blur tool (đŸŒĢī¸) and brush over passwords, email addresses, names, or keys to obscure them.
  6. Undo mistakes: Click the Undo button (↊ī¸) to step backward through your edit history. Click Clear All to reset the image and remove all overlays.
  7. Download your edit: Click the Download Edited Screen button to save the completed, flattened PNG image to your local device.
