Your passwords are locked behind a Master Key — without it, the stored data is mathematically unreadable ciphertext.

Add account credentials (site name, username, password), and the vault encrypts the entire entry before saving. Unlock the vault with your Master Key to view, copy, or edit saved entries. Nothing syncs to a server at any time.

How to Use the Secure Password Vault

Managing your passwords involves these steps:

  1. On first use, set a strong Master Key — this key encrypts and decrypts your entire vault. Never forget it.
  2. Enter your Master Key in the unlock field and click "Unlock Vault" to access your stored credentials.
  3. Click "Add Entry" to add a new credential: enter the site name, username, and password.
  4. Click "Save Entry" — the credential is encrypted with your Master Key and stored in localStorage.
  5. To view a password, click the entry in your vault list and use the reveal button to show the password.
